Eminem recently released his response to Mariah Carey’s “Obsessed” in the form the incendiary “The Warning,” probably the most vicious diss record I’ve heard since Nas’ “Ether.” Lyrically on point and totally no holds barred, I think it’s safe to say Mariah and collateral damage Nick Cannon were destroyed. If this was, as Em put it, a warning shot, I can’t even imagine the full attack.

Presently, I’m on the long island railroad headed to Penn station. Why? Because I left a few birthday gifts at the karaoke place. Fail on my part.
Aside from the personal stuff, I have no big complaints about this phone. I’m not reviewing it because it’s literally 2 years old and that would be a waste of time, but I have spent the better part of this weekend hacking this thing. It’s really embarrassing lol

And of course, Drake is on the remix, so the song is legitimized. The album is garnering generally favorable reviews. I’m definitely interested in his reflecting on fatherhood. All this throwing it in the bag amidst a recession… Escapism or hedonism?

Apple Asked Microsoft to Take Down Laptop Hunter Ads
As a Mac user, I’m kind of mad at this. But as a consumer always out for a laugh… I have to handed it to MS on this one. Competition within the next several months is going to be crazy.
Incidentally, I have to ask on this one… How many people would go ahead and make the same choice she made? As an artist looking for at least some kind of performance, is a $700 HP laptop what she’s looking for?
Lupe Fiasco – Shining Down

The new single from Lupe’s upcoming “We Are Lasers” album (I’m so late). The Chicago-native MC is definitely letting us know he isn’t going anywhere with this, although he still intends on retiring with the LupEND project, which has been put on hold.
Sonically, this track reminds me a blend of Go Go Gadget Flow and Ntruder Alert on the last album, The Cool, neither of which were my favorite tracks but I never could hate. Lyrically, he’s still on point. Best line (open to interpretation):
